Referrals
The Chamber receives daily request for business services in our community. Referrals are made to CHAMBER MEMBERS ONLY. What a great marketing tool for your business!
Monthly Newsletter
You will receive the Chamber’s monthly newsletter highlighting Chamber member businesses as well as community events. For a nominal fee, you can advertise your business by inserting a flyer in the newsletter.
Weekly E-Blasts
You will receive the Chamber’s weekly e-blast highlighting a Chamber member business as well as community events.
Membership Directory
The Chamber produces an annual printed Tarboro Magazine/Membership Directory with all members listed by business classification and business name. This publication is distributed statewide. The Chamber also lists members on its website with a link to your business website. Logo association and advertisements are also available on the website for a nominal fee.
Brochures and Business Cards on Display at the Chamber
The Tarboro Edgecombe Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center's lobby is centered around promoting Chamber members. Business card holders and wall racks are available to display flyers, brochures, newsletters and magazines you provide to promote your business. This service is free for Chamber members.
Community Information
The Chamber is your information clearinghouse for the town, county, and area. The Chamber provides tourism information and houses a visitors center featuring travel and tourism maps for all 50 states.
Newcomer Assistance
The Chamber receives numerous requests from people interested in moving to Tarboro/ Edgecombe County. The Chamber mails an impressive detailed informational packet about the area.
Tax-Deductible Membership
The IRS considers a Chamber membership to be a necessary business expense, and is tax deductible.
Networking/ Sponsorship Opportunities
Community Involvement
The Chamber is working to improve the community and concerned about issues related to economics, education, workforce development and travel/tourism. Committees and concerned individuals meet regularly to discuss issues facing our community.
Leadership and Volunteer Opportunities
Opportunities are available to those who want to participate on any of the various Chamber committees or be an Ambassador for the Chamber.
Events
The Chamber organizes and sponsors the following events: Annual Meeting; Administrative Professional Day; Santa on the Square and Christmas Parade; TECC Time; and Farm City Breakfast. The Chamber also supports various community-related events.
Business After Hours
Business After Hours are held bi-monthly to get to know your fellow members in a more casual setting. The event is sponsored by a member and usually held at the business location.

Marketing Services
The Chamber offers low cost copying services including color copies and banners. The Chamber also has portable information signs and canopies for rent.
Advertise Your Business
Display your brochures, business cards, and discount coupons in the Chamber lobby’s Visitors Center.
Grand Opening/ Ribbon Cutting Assistance
To get off on the right foot and to help you improve your exposure in the community, the Chamber can assist you in setting up a ribbon cutting ceremony and media coverage.
Seminars/ Workshops
Partnering with Edgecombe Community College Small Business Center, various business workshops and informative seminars are provided throughout the year. Members are encouraged to participate and submit suggestions for seminars.
